Every Yoga session starts with:
[a] Deep Relaxation: About 10 to 15 minutes to wind down from the tension, tiredness and fatigue.
Then sit up to practice
|b] Breathing Techniques (Pranayama) to strengthen the lungs and diaphragm, energize the mind and the body with “Prana” (the life-force) to practice the postures more efficiently.
People often underestimate the value of pranayama. Come to our yoga class and experience by yourself and find out the benefits.
After the breathing stand up to
[c] slowly limber up the muscles and main joints of the body before the main stretching postures so that postures will be more comfortable and safe from any strain and injury.
[d] The Postures (Asana) are practiced in the proper sequence i.e.
- Balancing levels
Also with backward, forward, sideway and twist stretches for all round
work out of the whole body for firming, toning, flexibility and strength.
Postures are held longer with proper concentration on the breath and for correct adjustments and alignments of each pose for more progress and better benefits from the postures.
There are 84 classical postures and their various variations in Acharya’s Yoga System and these postures are practiced in beginners to intensive levels.
[e] Finish the session with Mental Quietness in the meditative sitting position to relax the body and mind to feel peaceful and happy.
